Research
My research explores correlated many-body systems in low dimensions. Using a combination of analytic and numerical methods, the focus of my research is to realize and characterize novel features of quantum systems of many particles. In particular, my current interests are:
Realization of novel phases of matter in fermionic ladders,
Interplay of topology and interactions in one and 2D systems,
Correlated phases and their applications in Quantum information,
The low dimensionality of these systems allows the use of powerful techniques that go beyond mean field theory. Many of these methods have interesting connections to different areas of mathematical physics. Some of the techniques that I have used are: Bethe Ansatz, Matrix Product States, Bosonization, Conformal Field Theory.
