Windows Registry Hacking things that are useful

You use these registry altering files at YOUR OWN RISK

OK, warning over, I have happily used all of these wee registry files without any problems, thus far......

• ActiveX - This rather usefully enables you to right click on DLLs in Windows 2000 and use the options "Register DLL" and "UnRegister DLL"
• DebugWscriptFiles - it has been a while since I used this, but I seem to remember it helping with Windows VB script debugging
• DevStudio6 - enables syntax colouring for MS Visual Studio 6.0 for other file extensions such as vbs
• NotDomainMaster-W2k - rather useful for stopping Windows 2000 computers wanting to be domain master browsers
• NotDomainMaster-XP - rather useful for stopping Windows XP computers wanting to be domain master browsers
• policy - This is wonderful if you hate the really annoying Windows XP way of auto running CDR and DVD disks as soon as you put them in the drive. Stopped - hah!
• regclean.exe - works rather well for Windows 2000. M$ do not reccommend it for Windows XP, but I have happily used it to clean registries up on XP computers for quite a while. Use at your own risk, of course.
• stop_ntp_server.reg - stop the ntp server on Windows XP and/or 2000
