My research interests are mainly focused on soft matter systems, including transient elastic network, rubber, gel, polymer, soft matter solutions, etc.
I am now working on plasticity transition in transient network, by taking account of the finite stretchability of it.
Previously, I worked on the instability in inflating and twisting rubber tubes, gelation and cavitation in drying soft matter solutions, polymer translocation through finite sized nanochannels, elasticity of rubber membrane, etc.
In Plain English
Transient network plays an important role in technology and bio-systems. It attracts much attention from both the scientific and the technological sides.
We try to propose a framework where the microscopic picture inside of the network and the macroscopic one of the network are expressed in a unified way, including both the small deformation case and the finite deformed case. Moreover, we want to use this model to study plasticity transition in transient elastic materials.
